It has been some days since I was brought to the havens, first to the isle named Fortuna, and from there to the homestead in Davenport where I now reside within a foreign Brotherhood. Although I am now in another reality, it seems this place is a small piece of my own. Another country, so far distant as to be unknown in our time... but undeniably a link to that which was left behind.
The settlement about us is lively, yet with my addition to their ranks we number but two. The man who comprises the entirety of this branch of our Order and I are almost of an age... and that is one of few similarities. I cannot comment upon his youth and temper without damning myself, and still there is something in his manner that unsettles me. To trust him with my burden, my story, would be folly. I pray that he understands my silence if the time comes.
